response to bobby jablonski's work


all the images had a strong sense of being casual, un-posed and candid. the images that included your dog, whiskey, showed the relationship between you and him. the photographs of you in the basement with the inclusion of the stairs leading to the dog were successfully complex in lighting and the division of two separate spaces. the shower pictures were very interesting. your tan lines expand on your experiences over the summer that you spent in north carolina as a worker in a surf shop. the pale skin of wisconsin compared to the strong tan built up from being in the atlantic ocean nearly every day. both areas exhibit quiet moments, which are in tune with your project proposal. i would like to see the photos you talked about taking in the future of your pre-work cartwheels. also, i am excited to see how you photograph yourself in public spaces at work and outdoors.
